Invitation
All rogainers are cordially welcome to participate the 13th World Rogaining Championships in Finland. WRC2015 will be the first ever WRC to be organised above the Arctic Circle.
Rules
The rules of the International Rogaining Federation are followed in the competition.
The championships are held in 24-hour competition format.
By registering to the WRC 2015, you agree the

A competition team consists of 2 to 3 members. A team which has a member who is under 18 years of age, shall also have a member who is over 18 years of age. All participants under 18 years need to have a written permission (from their legal guardian) for taking part on the competition.
In WRC 2015 the youth category age requirements are altered from previous championships.
Competition categories
In the WRC 2015 there are several competition categories:
The teams compete in every category for which they are eligible, i.e. youth, veterans, super veterans and ultra veterans compete in open category too.
Registration
Registration for pre-qualified rogainers starts on 1.12.2014 12.00 Finnish time (GMT +2.00)
and ends on 15.1.2015 12.00 Finnish time (GMT +2.00)
Registration for all rogainers starts on 15.1.2015 12.00 Finnish time (GMT +2.00)

The maximum number of participants is 1000. If there are more applicants, the excess teams are placed on a waiting list in the order the registrations are made.
Pre-qualified -entrants
According to the IRF rules, teams that include at least one person from a team that meets the requiremets of the pre-qualification criteria are accepted. All team members do not need to have the pre-qualification status.

Team with pre-qualified status must compete with original pre-qualified team member. He/she cannot be changed.
Pre-qualified rogainers not registering before 15.1.2015 will not be eligible for the pre-qualification status.
Entry fees
The entry fee for a team is the sum of individual fees of the team members.

Cancellation policy
In case of a cancellation, the organisers refund the team as follows:
The cancellation done by 1.3.2015, 80 % is refunded.
The cancellation done by 31.5.2015, 50 % is refunded.
The cancellation done after 1.6.2015, no refund will be made.
A team can change its members using the WRC2015 internet service free of charge until 31.7.2015. Any other change, after given date, or change requiring manual labour, costs 5 euro, and must be paid in cash at the event centre before the competition material is handed to team.
Visas
In case you need an invitation for visa use the Visa Invitation Form on the WRC2015 website within two weeks of the registration. Processing time of invitation letters is two weeks. Act in time, please.
Event map
The map is a topographic map in a scale 1:40000 with a contour interval of 5 metres. The map is printed on one A2 and is specifically made for the WRC2015. Each team member receives his/her own map.

Training
A dedicated A3 sized training map is also printed for the event. The training map is in use until 22.8.2015. There are 11 training controls on the map which are available from 30.6.2015 to 22.8.2015 with control flags.
Training on the competition area is not limited until 19.8.2015 23.59.
Forbidden area
Competition area is forbidden to be used in anyway from 19.8.2015 23.59 onwards until the start of the competition.
Moving in the competition area is also forbidden to the rogaining team assistants.
Checkpoint descriptions
In the competition the checkpoint descriptions are given in symbols used by the International Orienteering Federation. Rogainers can ask for translations of the symbols from their national orienteering federations.

Accommodation

Compulsory equipment
List of the compulsory equipment will be published in the Bulletin 3.
Compulsory equipment must be with the participant during the whole race. Rogainers are not allowed to leave the compulsory equipment in a backpack and then leave the pack for example 100 metres behind while visiting control.
Compulsory equipment checks can be performed at any time, before the race, during the race or right after finishing the race. Missing compulsory equipment is penalized as in the rules. During the race the time spent on checking the equipment is counted as race time and there is no compensation on time lost. Keep the compulsory equipment easily accessible.
