 Hello to ALL my Snowshoe Friends around the World!

This is the last chance I'll have to invite you to attend two very important meetings to discuss the international promotion of the Sport of Snowshoe Running and Racing around the globe. My name is Mark Elmore. I serve as the Sports Director for the United States Snowshoe Association, the Director of the U.S. National Snowshoe Team and also sit on the Executive Committee of the International Snowshoeing Federation. The 2013 La Ciaspolada Snowshoe Race (www.ciaspolada.it), which is also serving as the 2013 ISSF World Snowshoe Championships, is coming up soon on January 6th, 2013 in the Val di Non region of northern Italy in the beautiful Dolomite Mountains. I hope you will consider attending with athletes from your home country to help us make this the largest, most competitive and most international World Snowshoe Championship yet! If you will consider attending, please contact Tiziana at the La Ciaspolada headquarters in Fondo Italy at novella@ciaspolada.it. She can assist you with planning your visit. The organizing committee is offering incoming international athletes excellent event support to help reduce your travel expenses. Tiziana can assist you with those details.


As for those two important meetings to discuss the formation and sponsorship of an international World Cup of Snowshoe Racing Tour, those meetings will take place on Friday January 4th, 2013 and Saturday January 5th, 2013 in Fondo at the Meeting Room of the Cassa Rurale Novella e AlraAnaunia in San Giovanni Square from 09:00 to 12:00 each day. These meetings are open to everyone, but we especially hope representatives from major snowshoe manufacturers, major snowshoe races and major snowshoe organizations will attend to enter into this important discussion on how we can work together to best promote and encourage participation in this sport all over the world.

I realize some of you have already responded back previously to me to tell me either you can attend these meeings, or, unfortunately, you can not attend these meetings at this time. I just wanted to keep everyone informed as to how this important step was proceeding. So, please forgive receiving another email from me. For those of you still considering this opportunity, I do hope you will plan to attend, even if it is just for the race event itself. I hope to see as many of you as possible in Fondo that weekend for what is always an amazing event. Come celebrate the La Ciaspolada's 40th BIRTHDAY with us! It's going to be a wonderful weekend of outdoor fun on snowshoes in the snow! I hope to see you all there.
